GCB Bank, formerly Ghana Commercial Bank, have launched their new brand identity and retail branch concept, developed together with branding partners Vision. The new GCB identity is supported by the tagline your bank for life, creating a new, forward looking brand for a 21st century African bank. The new brandmark draws on Ghana Commercial Bank’s 60 years of heritage by retaining the historic eagle, developed into a dynamic symbol of change.
CEO Simon Dornoo formally launched the new logo at the event in Accra, where the bank also announced a major transformation of the branch network. We have developed a new retail environment concept for GCB’s branches with a focus on creating a positive and welcoming experience with 3 zones – an open and accessible 24-7 self-service lobby, a re-engineered banking hall and a new banking lounge where customers can discuss their financial needs in a private and comfortable consultation environment. This will be rolled out to over 150 existing and new branches as part of our comprehensive Retail Network Strategy, helping take GCB into the future.
