With his passion for strategy and innovation, Simon creates high quality and effective design solutions for clients across a range of sectors.

As a director of the practice, he takes a leading role on strategic, interior and architectural projects. Since joining FDP in 2000, he has delivered international projects for leading retail banks such as GCB in Ghana, Permanent tsb in Ireland, Commercial International Bank in Egypt and First Caribbean in the West Indies as well as HSBC. These projects involve defining new retail concepts and strategies, developing the design solutions and delivering the new approaches and models on pilot sites and implementing across national networks.

He has broad design and management experience. He was the project architect for the fit out of HSBC’s head office in Ireland and also developed the bank’s Global Workplace Standards. He has collaborated with numerous institutions to develop their workplace and property strategies, and also delivered commercial schemes for residential and education sector clients.

Simon studied at the Manchester School of Architecture and completed a Masters research degree in architecture concerning the impact of networked media on physical space. He has also taught studio design at the University of Greenwich and The Bartlett School of Architecture.
